Family Ministry

May God’s grace be upon you and your family. Family Ministry hopes to provide you with encouragement, information, specific ministry needs, opportunities, and an environment in which your family can grow and prosper in the care and nurture of the Lord and in the wonderful extended family we have in Christ.

No matter the season of life, we have many ministries to help meet your needs, and many opportunities for you to become involved and to add your special gifts to the edification of the body of Christ. It is comforting to know that we can draw upon the experience, love, and grace that others have received and who gladly pass that grace and help along.

We all have needs, and, at the same time, all have something to contribute to the wellbeing of our own families and to the wellbeing others within the body of Christ. We are called to love one another, to care for one another, to help one another, and to serve one another. We are…family.

Goal of Family Ministries:

To equip our church family with recourses and encouragement to the biblical approach of marriage, parenting, and other family relationships.

Current Initiatives:

Marital Discipleship:
Some couples are not thinking so much about enriching their marriage as about how to keep it together. Some of us are experiencing trouble, and we need help with such things as communication skills, conflict resolution, and waning love and commitment. The Marriage Discipleship Ministry is a good place to start. Mentoring couples are available to come alongside you as you seek to restore your relationship.

Pre-Marital Discipleship:
If you are thinking about getting married or already are engaged, our premarital preparation ministry helps you start marriage on a better footing. Many couples spend an enormous amount of time and money on their wedding and honeymoon, but relatively few spend much on preparing for a life together. And here at Calvary, premarital preparation is free! You only invest your time and care. Short of your eternal salvation, a marriage preparation program is likely to be the best decision, as well as the best investment, you will ever make.

Parenting Classes and Recourses:
From a child’s point of view, a major part of life is having parents. From the parents' side, having children is a monumental change from being just the two of us.

Divorce Recovery Classes:
Divorce is the end of a relationship. It’s not, however, the end of your life. As devastating as it is, there is hope and help for you during this difficult time. If you are divorced or are going through the process, the temptation might be to withdraw. But we encourage you to seek wise and godly fellowship even more. Now is the time more than ever to be encouraged, supported, understood, and even protected.

Home Schooling Resources:
While many parents choose to send their kids to public or private school, some choose to teach them personally.

Young and Newly Married Class:
Opportunities abound for couples who want to enrich their relationship and make a good thing better. Whether through Calvary Chapel Boise or another ministry that you can contact at the click of a mouse button, we encourage you to avail yourselves of these resources.

Step Families:
Parenting and stepfamilies go hand-in-hand with the added considerations that blended families bring. If you facing this situation, we encourage you to spend time investigating the territory ahead through various resources we have. Single Parent Families:
Raising a family isn’t easy, and raising one as a single parent can be a Herculean task. Single parents need all the help they can get, and that's what we're here to give. This ministry is here to serve you. Let us know how we can help.

Children Ministries:
Without doubt, Calvary Chapel is a place for kids! Children are a priority and we invest in them mightily from Sunday school to week-day schooling to sports to many other activities. Kids are our future, and they are the future of the Kingdom of God.
