Children's Ministry - Policies
Security Policy
Why? Our stewardship is to protect all children visiting or attending our church.
How? We accomplish this in three ways.
Check-In Check-Out Policy
With the addition of the “Kid-Check” system all children attending the Nursery thru 6th Grade will be required to be checked in through the “Kid-Check” computer and then escorted to their appropriate class by a parent or guardian. The child can then be checked out by a specified parent or guardian with the required “Kid-Check” receipt.
* Nursery - Parents will continue to receive a pager to notify them in the case of an immediate need.
Check-In Procedure (If You Have Already Set-Up Your Account) From Any Of The Kid-Check Kiosks
- Enter your ten digit telephone number
- Select required information i.e. child’s name, class
- Finish and Check-In.
Your child’s name tag with essential information will print along with your check-out receipt.
Your child is now checked in. From this point you will need to escort your child to his/her classroom.
* Note - You will not need to stand in line to check him/her in as you have already done so.
Check-Out Procedure
The check-out procedure is as simple as matching your four digit code on your receipt with your child’s matching four digit code on his/her name badge. These numbers are randomly generated and will not be duplicated. However, if you have misplaced your receipt the child’s name badge will need to be scanned to ensure that you are the correct guardian and have specific permission to check-out the child.
Please register online at kidcheck.com or from our home page on the Kid Check Logo.
Security
Our intention in transitioning to the Kid-Check system is to implement a higher degree of security than what we previously were utilizing. The Kid-Check system allows our staff and helpers to better protect our children from potential harm by producing the necessary information for each individual child i.e. allergies, medical concerns, specified guardian information and the ability to upload photos from a home computer to be viewed by the child care provider.
Calvary Chapel of Boise also has volunteer security officers walking the halls of each building during each service.
Sign In - Sign Out Policy
Elementary Age: An adult or teenager (15 or older) are the only people approved to sign children in or out of a class.
Preschool: A card given at sign in must be returned at sign out in order to take the child.
Volunteer Application Procedure
Prior to performing duties with the CM, potential volunteers must undergo a personal interview, have a photo taken for a classroom ID, and submit a background check permission form.
